Geno Marriott

Geno Marriott is an American jazz musician, producer, and entrepreneur. He is the CEO of GMusic Entertainment, LLC.
“Geno Marriott” was born in Philadelphia, Pa, but his family moved to the Raleigh, North Carolina area in a small African American Community called, ”Riley Hill”. He was 4 years old
when they moved and his father called this transition a “Reboot in Life.” One day after his little league football practice, his parents bought him an Alto Saxophone. He wanted to play trumpet but, his mother said, “I like the way the Saxophone looks better. which would be his sounding bound and place of refuge in the highest places in his life and the deep valleys in his life as well. “

From that very moment Geno studied and played music in his room in Riley Hill, then on to, Wendell Elementary School then to East Wake High School and then eventually in College in
The Fine Arts Department at Howard University. He left his studies in music too early, to… “make money” in the Information Technology Industry. For nearly two decades, Mr. Marriott
worked to “make money”, but he was not fulfilling his real dream of playing and performing music. After years of soul searching and experiencing the ups and downs of life, Geno knew
that music was his saving station in life. He purchased a Saxophone in 2009 and practiced and practiced and practiced and still practicing, and practiving.

Today, Geno Marriott is one of the most sought after musicians in the Music Industry. His Group Geno Marriott & the Spirit of Jazz have opened up for and shared the same stage with Smooth Jazz Artist: Dove Koz, Boney James, Marcus Johnson, Marcus Anderson, Jonathan Butler, Candi Daulpher, Julian Vaughn, Paul Taylor, Jaheim Joyner, and Bill Medley from The Righteous Brothers (“You Lost That Loving Feeling”). Geno has also shared the stage with Gospel Greats: Byron Cage and Marvin Sapp. Geno Marriott & the Spirit of Jazz have performed at the Hampton Jazz Festival Kick Off in Hampton, Va. And also, The Jazz Legacy in Hampton Virginia.

The Band continues to provide some of the most unique private events for folks like: Former Vice- President Mike Pence, Former Governor Douglass Wilder, NBA members such as Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat. During the Pandemic his idea of bringing music to the people made him one of the Pioneers of Virtual Shows. Geno ‘s Backyard Jazz Celebrations are always dynamic with jazz music and a tremendous stage show and presence. To date, Geno has released to CD Projects – “The Spirit of Jazz” and Take The Time Smell The Roses.
